At Newark Central School District, we believe in celebrating the achievements, creativity, and community spirit that define our schools. The Office of Communications plays a vital role in connecting our district with families, staff, and the broader community by sharing the stories that matter most.

Through our website, social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube), news releases, and community presentations, we highlight the many ways our students and staff are preparing for life beyond graduation.

Promoting Our Schools

The Office of Communications is dedicated to showcasing:

• Student and staff achievements
• Innovative classroom projects
• Community partnerships
• Special events and district-wide initiatives

We collaborate with local media to promote stories of interest and provide photography, video, and written content to bring these moments to life.

Media & Event Coverage

To request coverage or submit a story idea:

• Contact us at least 2–3 weeks in advance of your event.
• Include key details: who, what, when, where, and why.
• Email Brenda Pittman (District Public Relations Coordinator) or Kyle Bliek (Communications Coordinator & Webmaster).

Please note: While we strive to cover as many events as possible, publication is not guaranteed.

Guidelines for Submissions

When submitting content:

• Use high-resolution, color photos (260 dpi or higher).
• Avoid time stamps and blurry images.
• Clearly identify individuals in photos (first and last names, grade level, left to right).
• Ensure all content complies with copyright and ADA standards.
   

Social Media Engagement

We encourage staff and families to follow and engage with us online. Tag @NewarkCSD and use #GoReds to share your school pride! For best results, submit:

• Close-up, horizontal photos and videos
• Detailed captions and context
   

Calendar Listings

Have an event coming up? Submit it for inclusion on our district calendar. Be sure to include:

• Event title
• Date, time, and location
• Brief description and contact info
   

Media Opt-Out Policy

We respect the privacy of our students and staff. Families and employees who do not wish to be photographed or featured in district communications should notify their building office and the Office of Communications.
