Academic Intervention Services Plan
Academic Intervention Services Plan
At Newark Central School District, we are committed to supporting every student’s success. Our Academic Intervention Services (AIS) provide targeted instruction and student support to help learners meet or exceed New York State Learning Standards.
AIS is designed for students who are struggling to meet academic expectations in core areas such as:
- English Language Arts (K–12)
- Mathematics (K–12)
- Science and Social Studies (Grades 4–12)
These services are available to all students in need, including English Language Learners and students with disabilities, in alignment with individual education plans (IEPs) when applicable.
What AIS Includes:
- Supplemental Academic Instruction
- Differentiated, skill-focused teaching designed to reinforce and build upon classroom learning.
- Student Support Services
- Additional resources to help remove barriers to academic success and ensure students stay on track.
AIS is not a replacement for regular classroom instruction—it’s an added layer of personalized support meant to help students reach their full potential.
