  • STARTING SEPTEMBER 15, 2025

    1. To participate, you will need to have a FOB that will allow you to enter the building weekdays between 5:30-6:30 am only. Swim time is 5:45 am to 6:45 am. You will need to request the FOB to participate and will allow you to enter the building at the Number #5 door which is the last door on the south side of the building. There will be a $5.00 deposit on all  FOBS which will be refunded if you leave the program.
    • Cost is $3.00/swim.
    1. Spaces are limited due to number of lanes available
  • We are currently working on offering family swim in the evening.

    More information will be posted on the district web page under Community Education, when times and dates have been confirmed.

  • Starting September 15th, 2025

    1. To participate you will need a FOB that will allow you to enter the front door of the high school Monday thru Friday, between 6:45 pm – 8:45 pm only on days school is in session. (weekends, holidays, vacations, school closings are excluded). Walking is allowed until 9:00 pm.
    2. $5.00 deposit on FOBS and will be refunded when FOBS are returned.

  • Instructor:  Deb Barry

    Location:  Newark High School, 

    Get a 10% discount on your collision, auto liability and no-fault insurance for three whole years and a 4-point reduction on your license, if needed.  A certified instructor will offer this informative, 6-hour course. It is offered in either two 3-hour evenings or one 6-hour all day session. You will learn traffic laws, roles and responsibilities of the individual driver and defensive driving techniques.  This course is approved by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles and the NYS Department of Insurance.

    CLASS SCHEDULE

    • October 24 and 26
    • 5:30-8:30 pm both evenings.  You will need to attend both days of the class. 
    • Fee:  $40.00/person

    Minimum participants are needed to hold a class.

  • Youth programs conducted by Wendy Beman

    Mondays at 10:00 am  - Young and Restless Baby Storytime -  We'll read some stories, have finger-plays, and have fun sensory bins to play with! Ages infants - 24 months

    3rd Tuesdays of the Month

    • at 6:00 p.m - On the Same Page - Join Miss Wendy and read a new book each month! Then you'll meet and talk about the book over some snacks. You'll get the next month's book at the meeting as well. For kids ages 8-11, accompanied by an adult.

    Thursdays at 4:00 pm - Alternating weeks

    • Full Steam Ahead - Miss Wendy for an afternoon of fun! A hands-on STEAM program (science, technology, engineering, art, & mathematics), geared towards families with kids ages 4 and up, younger siblings welcome. Dress for mess!
    • Or
    • Cooking Group - Join Miss Wendy in exploring cooking. Geared towards families with kids ages 4 and up

    Youth Programs by Tye Villane

    • Tuesdays at 10:00 am -Toddler Time  -Join Mister Tye for Toddler Time! Stories, songs, finger-plays, nursery rhymes, followed with snacks and crafts! For ages 1-4.

    Adult Programs by Jordyn Loveless

    • 2nd Monday of the Month at 4:00 pm - Do you have a story to tell? Come to the library to learn new skills to help you along your journey! Remember, the pen is mightier than the sword!
    • Every Wednesday in September at 5:00 pm. - Join us weekly to journal! All types of journaling are welcome be it traditional, sketchbook, or creative! Some materials will be provided; sharpies, scissors, glue, and scrapbook paper. Please bring your own journal!
  • Mondays:

    • 1st Monday of the month - The Usual Suspects Mystery/Thriller Book club 12:00PM
    • A book club for adults revolving around mystery and thriller books. Meets once a month.
    • 2nd Monday of the month- Creative Writing 4:00PM
    • Meets once a month. A quiet hour to gather with like-minded folks to pick a random prompt, write, and share if they feel inclined!
    • Last Monday of the month- Wendy's book club 11:30AM
    • Our dear Miss. Wendy meets once a month to discuss a book!
       

    Tuesdays:

    • Weekly - Mahjong 5:00 PM
    • A Patron led evening of Mahjong
       

    Wednesdays:

    • Weekly - Journaling 5:00PM
    • A group that meets weekly to journal, whether it be traditional, creative, or sketchbook journaling. It's an hour to meet with like-minded people and be creative, get ideas, and try out new materials.
    • Last Wednesday of the month- Snap Ed 10:30AM
    • Shelby from Snap Ed NY comes in to give us a presentation on healthy habits each month.
       

    Thursdays:

    • Weekly- Cards 4:00PM
    • A patron led evening of cards
    • Weekly- Sit & Stitch 4:00PM
    • A patron led stitch club, be it crochet, knitting, needlepoint, etc, bring a project to work on, or leam something new! Get tips from other artists as well!
    • 2nd Thursday of the month- Non-Fiction Book Discussion Group 5:30PM
    • A book club revolving around a non-fiction book!

    Last Thursday of the month- Thumbs & Thimbles 5:00PM

    • A monthly group that meets for 2 hours to sew something for a good cause or to donate to those in need. No need to know how to sew, there's plenty of ways to help out or get involved!

    Saturdays:
    Last Saturday of the month- Paint & Sip 11:00AM

    • Once a month, we gather to try a mocktail, and paint something together!
       

    Fall Program Ideas- In Process of Solidifying
    Spooktober- October will have plenty of spooky activities and DIYs
    Indigenous programs- events revolving around the Indigenous peoples of Amenca, most likely in November
