At Newark Central School District, we believe that a strong school community is built through strong relationships. Our Family & Community Engagement Office is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections among students, families, staff, and community partners. Through collaborative partnerships with local agencies, open communication with families, and intentional opportunities for student voice, Newark CSD is committed to building a welcoming, inclusive district where everyone feels informed, supported, and valued. Together, we work to ensure that every child has the tools, relationships, and opportunities they need to thrive—both in and beyond the classroom.

Julia Solan
As the Director of Family and Community Engagement, I will be leading district-wide efforts to strengthen connections between our schools, families, and community partners. My goal is to make sure everyone—staff, students, and families—has the support, resources, and information they need to help our students thrive.
District-wide efforts include:
- Supporting staff and families with resources and training
- Co-facilitating a district-wide Parent Advisory Council
- Expanding our Community Schools Model
- Overseeing Grant Services & NCSD Threat Assessment Process
- Build mentorship opportunities with local businesses for students
- And much more!
