Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) Requirements
Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) Requirements
As part of our commitment to professional growth and instructional excellence, Newark Central School District follows the updated Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements established by the New York State Education Department effective July 1, 2016. These regulations ensure that all certified educators engage in meaningful, ongoing professional development aligned with student needs and instructional priorities.
The CTLE guidelines outline the number of required hours, approved providers, and specific focus areas such as English Language Learner (ELL) instruction. Educators are responsible for maintaining accurate records of their CTLE activities, including program titles, hours completed, provider information, and verification of attendance.
