Title I Parents' Right to Know

As part of the federal Title I program under the No Child Left Behind Act, Newark Central School District is committed to keeping families informed. Parents and guardians of students in Title I-funded schools have the right to know important information about their child’s classroom teachers.

You may request the following details:

• Whether the teacher is certified in New York State for the grade levels and subject areas they teach.
• The teacher’s college major and any advanced degrees or certifications.
• Whether your child is receiving services from paraprofessionals, and their qualifications.
