Before and After School Program
Newark Before & After School Programs
The Newark Central School District is excited to offer Morning Fitness for students in grades 3–8 and an Afterschool Program for students in grades K–12. These programs are made possible through the Extended School Day (ESD) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants, funding provided by the New York State Education Department.
The focus and mission of the programs are to:
- Provide opportunities for our students to grow socially, emotionally and academically through after school programming and community partnerships.
- Ensure our students have the opportunity for educational, recreational, and enrichment programs.
- Provide a supervised environment that promotes safety by increasing attachment, self-regulation, social emotional and academic competencies, and mental and physical health of students.
ESD and 21 CCLC programming aims to support three pillars that support the Newark Central School District Mission and Vision and the District Strategic Plan.
