Newark Middle School’s 2026-27 School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) outlines the school’s priorities and strategies for strengthening teaching and learning and supporting the success of every student. Developed collaboratively by the Newark Middle School SCEP team in partnership with staff, students, and families, the plan focuses on using student data to guide instructional decisions, providing rigorous and accessible standards-aligned learning experiences, and ensuring students receive timely academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and attendance supports.

Throughout the school year, the school will use collaborative teacher teams, instructional coaching, data analysis, and schoolwide support structures to monitor progress, identify areas for growth, and continually refine instruction and student supports. The goal is to ensure that every Newark Middle School student has access to high-quality learning experiences, meaningful support, and the opportunity to achieve academic success.
