Newark Central School District Going Cashless in Cafeterias

Posted Date: 08/10/26 (11:40 AM)

Newark Central School District announces food services are going cashless starting September 8, 2026.
Beginning September 8, 2026, Newark Central School District cafeterias will be cashless.
Students and staff will need to use their MySchoolBucks account to make purchases in our school cafeterias. This includes school meals, a la carte items, snacks, and other cafeteria purchases.

What Do I Need to Do?

Families and staff should make sure they have a MySchoolBucks account set up and add funds to their account before making purchases.
Funds added to a MySchoolBucks account can be used for:
  • School meals
  • A la carte items
  • Snacks
  • Other cafeteria purchases

Don't Have a MySchoolBucks Account?

If you do not already have an account, please set one up and add funds before the start of the school year.

Please Plan Ahead

To help keep cafeteria lines moving quickly and make the transition as smooth as possible, we encourage families and staff to add funds to their MySchoolBucks accounts in advance.
Thank you for helping us make this transition to a cashless cafeteria!
