District Safety Plan
School Emergency Response Planning
The Newark School District is committed to the safety and preparedness of its students, staff and its visitors. Our District-Wide School Safety Plan is an all-hazards approach to crisis management and focuses on mitigation/prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery procedures.
The New York State Education Department requires all schools to update their District-Wide Emergency Response Plan/Safety Plan annually. The District has drafted the plan, and we are sharing it with the public for comment, as required by this regulation.
As part of NYS Education Law 2801-a, the District is required to post our full District-wide Safety Plan on our website.
