2026 Lincoln school Kindergarten carnival rocked!

The Lincoln School Kindergarten Team School hosted another great, two-hour carnival this year on the field behind the Pre-K through 2nd grade school that nearly 50 Kindergartners thought was fantastic.

The 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. June 11th event featured carnival games like ring toss, a duck pond, tattoos, estimation station, mini golf, parachute, bean bag toss, and chalk and bubble making. Chalk and bubbles were generously provided by some Kindergartner’s parents.

The Alex Eligh Community Center donated a dunking tank, operated by Jorge and Carlos Bueso from AECC, and it was a huge hit at the carnival as well as the machines to make popcorn and cotton candy.

A picnic lunch followed the carnival that Kindergarten families attended. Parents provided lunch for themselves and their children unless a child wanted a school lunch.

The Kindergarten teacher team of Amanda Richwalder, Rebecca Herko, Jasmine Bueso and Melissa Allison planned the event.

“The students loved being able to celebrate a year of hard work in Kindergarten. Some of the kids even said it was the best day ever. They enjoyed dunking some of their favorite teachers and eating some delicious cotton candy,” Bueso said.

The Kindergarten team thanked Lincoln School’s parent volunteers, dedicated staff including the Lincoln School custodial staff, Physical Education teacher Kevin Pease and administrators; the Newark Fire Department for filling the dunking tank and AECC for its generous donations.”
