Rainee Tilkins is new data coordinator

Mocaraina β€œRainee” Tilkins, a 5th/6thgrade inclusion teacher in the Williamson Central School District was appointed Data Coordinator for the Newark Central School District by the Board of Education July 9th.

Tilkins’ start date for the newly created, full-time, administrative position approved by the BOE at its June 4th meeting will be July 28th.

For the last few years, data coordination has been handled by Stacy Warren, Secretary to the Superintendent and Sara Finch, Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.

In her new role with the NCSD, Tilkins will oversee Federal and State data reporting, accountability and District assessment data. Her duties will be managing and analyzing student data for reporting to the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and other relevant agencies. This includes ensuring data accuracy, verifying information in various NYSED databases, and providing ongoing analysis of student and district performance.

Tilkins will also assist with data entry, audits, and the creation of performance dashboards. Additionally, she will work in close collaboration with all administration to design and present accurate data sets correlating, but not limited to academics, behavior, SEL and attendance.

β€œI’m really excited and grateful to be joining the Newark team in this new role,” Tilkins said. β€œHelping schools make sense of data to better support students is something I truly care about. I’m looking forward to working side-by-side with staff, building strong relationships, and using data in ways to tell each student’s story and guide decisions that matter. This role brings together so many things I love about education, and I am eager to get started.”

β€œWe are excited to welcome Rainee to the team and to this new newly created position,” said Superintendent Susan Hasenauer. β€œData has become such an integral part of our work for accountability and decision-making processes that having one person to devote their time and attention to this need will help all areas of our district. We are excited for her to put her signature on this opportunity.”

Tilkins, who has taught in the Williamson CSD since 2016, has also served as the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Intervention Facilitator, ELA Curriculum Coordinator and new teachers’ mentor.
