NCSD HR School Personnel Assistant Michael Nolan said the invitation to attend the session was extended to all current and future NCSD retirees.
Held in conjunction with Excellus Medicare and led by Medicare consultant, Dominic Manfredo, the two-hour session provided a general overview of Medicare, the Medicare plans offered by the school district, allowed time for questions from those attending and included refreshments.
Others who provided informational input were Brian Inman, an Excellus Manager of Group Medicare Sales & Retention, Connie Margiotta, an Excellus Strategic Account Sales Consultant and Shelly Avery, from SMOLA Consulting in Rochester.
"The Newark CSD Medicare Retiree Informational Session was a success! We enjoyed catching up with our retirees in person and providing individualized support throughout the event,” said Christine Cravatta, Executive Director of Human Resources for the Newark Central School District.
“It was a real HR team effort in terms of logistics, promotion and day of support,” Nolan said “Also, a great example of the district working with its partners for the benefit of employees, both current and former.”
As a follow up, Nolan said the HR Department will soon be sending an overview to attendees on information that was presented.
