The informal, evening reception in the Newark High School Library June 8was a really nice way to say ‘Thank You’ and share heartfelt words of praise, expressions of gratitude and memories about Newark Central School District staff who already have or will retire this school year.
Superintendent Susan Hasenauer opened the reception by expressing appreciation for the 11 employees’ combined 240 years of hard work and dedication to the Newark Central School District.
While five of the individuals were unable to attend, she said it was important to recognize and celebrate the retirees many years of faithful service and invaluable contributions to both the district and students and wished them the very best in their retirement.
Then former Newark Middle School Principal Teresa Prinzi, who is now NCSD Director of Pupil Services, Newark High School Principal Nick Ganster, Kelley School Principal Jeff Hamelinck and Lincoln School Principal John Ginter also thoughtfully reflected on the myriad and invaluable contributions made by the attending honored guests. And then the individuals being recognized spoke. It was memorable.
The retirees, their retirement date, years of service they worked for the NCSD and the positions they currently hold or held when they retired during this school year follow. The names of who didn’t attend appear in red.
