Please read below for information on registering your student for Kindergarten in the 2023-24 school year:
Kindergarten Registration: County-wide Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year will be taking place on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Please come to our District Office to register your child for Kindergarten on that date. If you are unable to register on that date, you can always register on a different date. Children who will be 5 years of age on or before December 1, 2023, are eligible to attend Kindergarten in September 2023. We now have an online registration process on our website: Arbiter Registration (familyid.com). UPK Registration: The District has sent out Sign-Up information for Universal PreK for the 2023-24 school year. Children who will be 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2023, are eligible to attend UPK in September 2023. There are both Full and Half Day classrooms at Perkins and Lincoln Schools. We also give a limited number of slots to area providers (Roosevelt, Candy Apple and HeadStart). If you have a child that is eligible and didn’t receive any UPK information, please contact Stacy at 332-3217 or stacy.warren@newarkcsd.org. If you are interested in a Full Day slot, deadline to submit your Sign-Up form is Friday, April 21, 2023.
