Newark native and 1981 Newark High School graduate Tina Kline has held five jobs in the Newark Central School District since she began working here in 2000. And while she’s only been the new Administrative Assistant at Lincoln School for two weeks, she loves greeting and assisting students and staff each day that come into the main office at the Pre-K through second grade school.

I really enjoy it here,’’ said Kline who left her job as a secretary in the main office at Newark High School to replace Lexi Morales, who after two years as the Administrative Assistant at Lincoln, decided she wanted to work as a Teacher Assistant at the school.

I really enjoyed working up at the High School, but I also enjoy working with the little ones,’’ she said.

We are excited to have Tina join us at Lincoln School,” said Principal Kari Hamelinck. “Tina has been a great addition to the building and is already forming connections with students and staff. She seems to love coming back to our primary students. I feel fortunate that we were able to add her to our Lincoln family and have Lexi Morales stay in our building as a Teacher Assistant as she has formed strong connections with our students. It is truly a win for us!”

In 2000, after a brief stint as a monitor at NHS, Kline worked for 7 years as a Teacher Assistant at Perkins School. After that, she worked for 13 years in the District’s Special Education offices as a Medicaid and Committee on Special Education secretary.

In April of 2021, she took the secretarial job at NHS.

Kline is the mother of three grown children. Her daughter, Allyssa Harrington, is a registered dietician in the Cornell University Athletic Department. Her son, Jacob Kline, works for Chase Morgan Bank in Rochester. Her other daughter, Elizabeth Kline, is a travel nurse based in Austin, Texas.

When she’s not working Kline, enjoys making crafts and gardening. “I love flowers,’’ she said.
