Outstanding showing at Saturday’s tournament! Our team finished 3rd overall out of 20 teams, just behind Pal-Mac and Webster Schroeder. 💪🤼♂️
We had six wrestlers reach the podium, including four finalists:
🥇 TJ Streeter – 1st Place
🥇 Braxton Cooney – 1st Place
🥈 Antonio Oliver Plain – 2nd Place
🥈 Miguel Olivera Plain – 2nd Place
🥉 Kyler Stone – 3rd Place
🏅 Gavin Paul – 4th Place
TJ Streeter was just a couple of votes shy of earning Most Outstanding Wrestler after upsetting a Webster Schroeder opponent.
Braxton Cooney mounted an incredible comeback, trailing 5–2 in the final period before winning 13–5.
Kyler Stone delivered a big upset over a Pal-Mac wrestler with a throw and pin.
The rest of the team wrestled hard and competed well throughout the day. Great effort all around!
