Newark CSD Athletics

The Newark Central School District offers a comprehensive education-based athletics program for students in grades seven through twelve. We are governed by the New York State Education Department and are a part of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, Section V and the Finger Lakes High School Athletic Association.

We have a comprehensive offering of 28 different athletic programs that are made up of 58 teams servicing over 550 individual athletes. All of our coaches are licensed by the New York State Department of Education and trained in first aid, CPR, concussion management, the Dignity for All Students Act and child abuse prevention.

Our work is guided by the vision of our district. Specifically, athletics binds our entire community and builds a 'profound sense of hometown pride' as evidenced by the large crowds at many athletic events. Our athletic programs provide the ideal environment for individuals to reach their maximum potential through rich and diverse experiences. The very best of athletics provides an environment of high expectations that requires collaboration among student-athletes, coaches, officials and spectators. We believe in the power and importance of athletic experience in the lives of young people and embrace the focus on every student, every day.

Our goal is to develop #GreatTeammates
