    Children and Youth Services

    The Children & Youth Services Clinic treats youth, ages 3 to 18, for emotional and

    mental health problems. Therapists, counselors, nurses, and psychiatrists are available to treat your child in a team approach. Intake Appointments can be scheduled by calling the above number or by walking in. Costs are covered by most insurance, but a sliding-scale fee is available. Treatment is recovery-focused and family centered. Specialties include the treatment of ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma/abuse, and crisis intervention. Some in-home outreach services are available, based on need.

    Finger Lakes Parent Network, Inc., is parent-governed, and focused on the needs of children and youth with emotional, behavioral and/or mental disorders and their families. The mission of FLPN, Inc. is to support and empower families so that they can improve the quality of their lives and help their children to achieve their full potential within the community. Family support services that reduce stress and help families to care for children with emotional problems at home and/or in their own communities are provided by FLPN, Inc. Services include: parent support groups, information and referral, peer advocacy, parent education, respite care and child and family recreation. An Intensive Support Services Program is offered to prevent placement of high-risk children. The agency offers family support services in the nine counties of Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, Yates, Schuyler, Steuben, Chemung, Tioga and Allegany.

    Wayne Pre-Trial Services Diversion Program

    For youth ages 16 to 21 who have committed crimes whose lawyer recommends that his client will benefit from a coordinated treatment program of counseling and supportive services. For an average of three months, counseling and other services are provided. If successful, the youth will be diverted out of the criminal justice system.
