Students have been working hard on their presentations in English class. Each day, students tackle a component of the presentation requirements. Teachers guide students through the planning and development phase of the presentations, and will provide information regarding public speaking skills.

Presentations will count as a third quarter grade, as well as the completion of a graduation requirement. Students are encouraged to wear professional attire when presenting.

Students will be completing their presentations after Spring Break. How you can support your child at home:

    • Make sure they attend school. Students may fall behind in their presentation work if they are continually absent.
    • Have a discussion. Ask your child what he or she accomplished each day.
    • Offer your assistance. Ask your child if you can look over their presentation slides and make suggestions for updates.
    • Help them practice. As students get closer to finalizing their presentation, ask them to present it to you at home.
